We Need Your Support!

Charitable Act is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded to provide underprivileged children the opportunity to learn and enjoy theater arts by attending summer theater camps.

By raising money, coordinating volunteers from high school drama departments, and working with community theater groups Charitable Act staffs and manages classes and camps for underprivileged students.  The students learn dancing, acting, singing, and have the opportunity to perform.  Charitable Act also helps raise awareness on the lack of youth-based theater opportunities in underprivileged communities and helps raise funds to support the license fees and supplies for the camps and classes.

Why Volunteer?

“It was really great to be able to teach kids something. It makes you realize that what you’re saying impacts these kids.”

“Even though it was my first year, it’s probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had."

“I love when you know a kid is struggling with a particular song or scene and then they come back the next day knowing it, proving that they practiced. It makes me proud to know I helped inspire that.”

“The counselors and kids were some of the nicest people I think I’ve ever met.”

“Giving back to the community and knowing that I have a big impact on [the children’s] lives makes my heart happy!”
